Greetings in Jesus Christ's name! May all that is done and will be done through WHDF Association be according to his will and for his ENTIRE glory and honour.
As usual, here is an update of what has happened and will happen for WHDF Association which you should be informed of:
1. The Interim Executive Committee of WHDF Association has paid for the advertorial: Notice of Intention to Register as Association, with The National Newspaper and was published on Friday, 25th February 2011 page 41 - please find copy scanned and attached here. After 30 days, we will recieve (hopefully) our IPA registered Certificate of Incorporation as Association.
2. Upon recieving our IPA Certificate, a new bank account for WHDF Association will be opened with one of the commercial banks in PNG. After the account is opened, formal notice will be run in the newspapers and via email for more than 10,000 elites of WHP to begin filling in the MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FORM and directly deposit their fees of K100 each/ per person.
3. Upon recieving our IPA Certificate, WHDF Association will apply for a IRC Tax File number with PNG IRC taxation office.
4. On March 25th, 2011, the Interim Executive Committee of WHDF Association hopes to host a "WHDF Stakeholders' Barbeque 2011" at PNG Botanical Gardens, Port Moresby. About 2 pigs (Kung Mark) have been donated for this barbeque. Now, we need 3 more pigs to be donated. Anyone willing to help, please call Samson Komati at 7665 3996, 7360 6260. We need to roast 5 big pigs and some chickens. We hope to raise K5,000 for soft drinks and alcoholic drinks (beer - for those who take it). This will be the 1st barbeque for ALL educated men and women of WHP in Port Moresby, NCD and those that are around during this date. This event is a lead up to the AGM which is coming up in April 2011. All food and drinks will be FREE to strictly elites of WHP (not your disciples!). Those of you who wish to buy soft drinks or beer and contribute towards this event, please let us know soon. Same goes to those who wish to donate a pig or chicken(s) for this event. Its our BBQ so lets all contribute to make it a wonderful day for us all. We have resolved to have George Leahy as Official Guest of Honor at this BBQ while others are also anticipated including Hon. Don Polye, Hon. Moses Maladina, Hon. Peter Ipatas, Hon. Tom Olga, and all the 7 MPs from WHP.
5. Some of the names suggested and people who volunteered to serve in the Board of Trustees of WHDF Association are: Simon Korua, Alois Kopi Kuk, Tep Dami, Margaret Parua, Michael Makap, Dr. James Kintwa, Dr. Michael Wilson, Dr. Fred Wurr, and few others. Anyone going for the 2012 National Elections cannot serve in the BOT but may remain a member of WHDF.
6. We want to sincerely thank George Bopi (businessman/ consultant) for being part of the Interim Executive Committee of WHDF Association since its inception on September 25, 2010. George has, among few others, helped fund some of the running costs of this Association and helped in many other ways. Since he is going for the WHP Regional Seat in 2012, he realizes that to serve in this committee is a conflict of interest situation so he voluntarily relinquished his seat as Member on this WHDF committee effective Friday, 25th February, 2011.
7. We need some 8-10 volunteers who are elites of WHP living and working in Port Moresby to help us organize both the BBQ on March 25 and AGM on April 2011. Anyone willing to help in this organizing group of the Interim Executive Committee, please contact Samson Komati as soon as possible via phone or email.
8. Condolences are going out on behalf of 10,000 elites of WHP to Thomas Negints and family and the Ulga Tribe of Neibilyer Valley in the sudden passing away of Late Patricia Negints on Friday 25, February 2011 at Crystall Rapids in Port Moresby. She drowned in the river and her body was uncovered a day later. She is a member of WHDF and has participated in our events last year. We miss her and pray that God will give her soul rest and give peace to all his family and friends at this juncture of her abrupt departure. In her FaceBook page, the last words to register/ write were: “who am I ? still searching for me, hope I find myself soon!” February 24, 2011 at 4:32pm.
9. Condolences are going out also on behalf of 10,000 elites of WHP to late Paita Towo Piari's family in Hagen, POM, and Enga. Paita was born and raised in Mt. Hagen, although from Enga. He regarded himself as a son of WHP and was proud about it until his sudden death few weeks ago.
10. We must not forget that WHDF Association is NOT a political stage, political strategy, politically-motivated, or political interest of, for, by, to, and related to anyone. This development vehicle and forum is to bring elites of WHP together and establish a permanent and sustainable means by which foreign donors and PNG government will fund the set up in a massive way so that law and order problems in our province will be reduced or solved (apart from other development initiatives) - this is very simple to understand. WHDF Association is bigger than any one individual. Its aims are higher and long lasting than anyone individual's life span. It seeks to systematically address lawlessness in WHP, beyond anything good happens in WHP. So the support and cooperation of all elites of WHP is needed critically at this juncture. Those who see it otherwise, PLEASE observe from the sides - we respect you for that.
